\nGod created light on the first day, but He created the sun on the fourth day. So God has light apart from our source of light. The earth revolves around the sun in 365 days and we say it is one year. The earth rotates on its axis, and as the sun rises we say it is day, and when it sets we say that it is night. So we base our time on the sun; but before the sun was created, God had already counted several days. I can understand by this that, because God’s timing is based on a source other than mine, His timing is definitely distinct from my timing, and He sees things\u00a0differently than I ever could.<\/p>\n

“…the Holy Ghost was upon Simeon…and he came by the Spirit into the temple…” (Luke 2:25-27).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Simeon was neither a half hour early, nor was he twenty minutes late. He was in the right place, at the right time to do the right thing. Have you ever thought to yourself: “Timing is really messed up in my life. I thought by this time in my life I would have already accomplished this or that.”<\/p>\n

The Holy Spirit has an amazing way of restoring timing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Joel tells us that God will “restore to you the years” (Joel 2:25). As both Joel and Acts chapter\u00a0two tell us, God will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, and one of the things the Holy Spirit does is to restore timing! Don’t subscribe to the lie that you have voided God’s promise or purpose\u00a0in your life.\u00a0 We may have made mistakes, but God never places us on “Plan B”! When God pours out His Spirit upon us, timing is restored, and like Simeon, we, too, by the Spirit will always be directed right toward Jesus!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
