Future is as Bright as God's Promises

bible+sunrise“The future is as bright as the promises of God.” — Adoniram Judson (1788–1850. Remembered as one of the first American missionaries to travel overseas. He served there for 40 years. He also translated the Bible into Burmese.)
Last I checked, God’s Word is filled with extremely bright promises both for the future and for our daily living! Check these out:

“Your Word is a LAMP to my feet and a LIGHT to my path” (Psalms 119:105 NKJV).
“The entrance (unfolding) of Your Words gives LIGHT; It gives understanding to the simple” (Psalms 119:130 NKJV).
“So we have the prophetic Word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a LIGHT shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19 NASB).

And here is something to think about… On Mt. Sinai, Moses saw and heard just a wee bit of God (compared to what God offers us today in Christ). That brief encounter penetrated and saturated his face with a brightness that brightened up the lives of others around him (2 Corinthians 3:7-18). Unfortunately, it was just a bit too bright and everyone asked Moses to dim the glow a little!
We all have a lot of stuff which competes to distract us when we first wake up; however, spending morning time in God’s Word is sure to brighten the entire day, bringing an unrivaled cosmetic shine to our face – one which will reflect Christ and brighten up those we meet through the day!
