In Hannah Whitall Smith’s book, “The Christian’s Secret to a Happy Life” (1870), she makes the observation that earthly cares and trials are God’s chariots sent to carry us to high places of triumph. These Chariots are invisible as God’s chariots and we often mistake them for something evil and unfortunate. Like Elijah prayed for his servant’s eyes to be opened, may our eyes also be opened to see God’s Chariots in every circumstance of life! (2 Kings 6:17)
